Overview Packing Instructions

In this overview you see the master data of the packing instructions of the supplier or customer. In the packing instructions the entered data of the “Article Weights and Measures” and the entered data of “Packing Materials” will be merged. The packing instructions master data are absolutely necessary for the automatic calculation of the packing in the FPA / ASN process.


The packing instructions master data are available for customer and supplier.

Details Packing Material

In the entry dialogue “Packing Material Details” you can create and update packing material by a manual input.


For Customers: You can enter and update all relevant data on the details page “Packing Material Details”.

For Suppliers: You can enter and update all relevant data on the detail page “Packing Material Details”. In the field “Customer Packing Number” you can enter the packing number of the customer so that the customer can identify the packing material in the ASN.

Details Article Weights and Measures

In the detail page “Article Weights and Measures” you find all relevant fields and the assignment of a supplier article to a customer article.


For Customers: You can only update existing articles on the detail page “Article Weights and Measures”. In the table “Referenced Supplier Articles” you can see the supplier article that are assigned to the customer article by the supplier.

“Article Weights and Measures” contains article master data e.g. article weight and article dimensions that are necessary for the automatic packing process in the FPA / ASN process.


The article master data in “Article Weights and Measures” are available for customer article on customer side and on supplier side for supplier article.

Master Data Packing Process

The master data for the packing process contains article master data and packing material master data that will be merged in packing instructions master data. The packing process master data are absolutely necessary for the automatic calculation of the packing in the FPA / ASN process. Master data are maintained by customer for customer packing data and by supplier for supplier packing data.

Master Data Packing Process

The master data for the Packing Process contains article master and packing master data that will be merged into the packing instructions. The Master Data Packing Process will be used for the automatic calculation of the packing in the FPA / ASN process. It will distinguish between customer and supplier master data. The customer creates the customer master data and the supplier creates the supplier master data.

Creating a Table Profile

The following characteristics for a table are defined in a table profile:

  • The visibility (displaying) of columns
  • The order of the displayed columns
  • The width of the columns
  • Sorting within columns
  • The number of rows displayed per page

Note: Any filters which you have set do not form part of a table profile.
