A control point is an inventory measurement point, such as a site (global view) or an unloading point (detailed view). For control points: users are activated, user authorizations are configured and master data for the logistics processes is updated.
The Supply Chain Directory supports “Corporate Supplier Management” for the Seller company linking (Networklink). This is defined on control point level for an entire corporate group.
Process Overview
In the Supply Chain Directory (SCD) you as Company Administrator can perform the following tasks:
- Release users for data access.
- Configure sites (control points).
- Manage reference numbers for logistics and finance processes.
- Release suppliers for buying companies.
What is the Supply Chain Directory?
In the Supply Chain Directory you manage your company’s master data for logistics and finance processes.
The master data maintenance for the logistics processes is based on a “control point”. A control point for SupplyOn is an inventory measurement point, such as a site or an unloading point, for example.
In addition, the Supply Chain Directory allows the linking of suppliers for logistics and finance processes. This process also contains the concept of the “Grouped supplier linking”.
