Technical requirements for the use of the SupplyOn platform
The following browser, firewall and proxy settings are necessary:
Supported browsers
- Google Chrome
- The current version is recommended.
- Mozilla Firefox
- The current version is recommended.
- Microsoft Edge
- For Microsoft Edge , the technology has changed, but the name remains the same. SupplyOn only supports versions from January 2020 onwards, which are based on Chrome .
- Logo for versions before January 2020 – not supported by SupplyOn
- Logo for Versions after January 2020 – supported by SupplyOn
Hints:
- By default, Google Chrome and Firefox are updated automatically. However, you can always check for an update manually, in which case, any update found will be downloaded but not installed until you restart the browser. If you have any questions, contact your IT administrator.
- If you use a TLS version lower than 1.2, after the changeover date, you will receive an error message within your browser. You can no longer open the SupplyOn websites until a current browser version is installed on your computer.
Browser settings
- Java Script must be activated.
- Cookies must be enabled for *. supplyon.com .
- The pop-up blocker must be disabled for the *. supplyon.com website.
- Trusted sites: Please add https://*. supplyon.com to your trusted sites zone.
Recommendation: Deactivate automatic translator in the browser
An "automatic translator" also translates fixed terms or changes the interface in some cases. Thus, some instructions or manuals are hard to read, the platform might look different or it can lead to technical issues. Therefore it is recommended to deactivate the automatic translator in the browser.
- Open the settings in your browser and search for "translate".
- Deactivate the translator in the browser.
Clearing cache and delete cookies
In the event of performance problems, it is recommended that you clear the cache and cookies of your internet browser. (In newer browser versions you can clear them with the key combination "Ctrl + Shift + Del")
Google Chrome
- On your computer, open Chrome .
- At the top right, click More (three small dots)
- Go to History and then click again on History.
- On the left, click Clear browsing data.
- Select how much history you want to delete.
- Tick the boxes for the info that you want Chrome to clear, including Browsing history.
- Click Clear data.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click on the library button (4 books) in the top right corner and select "History".
- Click on "Clear Recent History".
- Make sure the options
- cookies
- cache
are checked and click on "Delete now".
- You will then receive a message that the history has been deleted.
Microsoft Edge
- Select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy and services.
- Under 'Clear browsing data', select 'Choose what to clear'.
- Choose a time range from the Time range drop-down menu.
- Choose the types of data you want to clear. For example, you may want to remove browsing history and cookies but keep passwords and form fill data.
- Select 'Clear now'.

Disable pop-up blocker for SupplyOn
To ensure that all functions in the SupplyOn application can be operated, you must allow pop-ups. It is sufficient to add the application SupplyOn to the list of exceptions in your browser. This will not affect any other websites whose pop-ups are still blocked.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome .
- Click on the three-point menu on the top right.
- Under "Privacy and Security," click on Site Settings.
- Click Pop-ups and Redirects.
- In the "Allow" section, add the website www.supplyon.com
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox and click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the upper right corner.
- Select "Options".
- Select the "Privacy & Security" section.
- Scroll to the Permissions section and click on "Exceptions...". To do this, the Block pop-up windows checkbox must be selected.
- Now insert the link www.supplyon.com in the Address of the website field and confirm by clicking on "Allow".
Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge .
- Click the 'More' button on the top right side.
- Click 'Settings'.
- Click 'Privacy & Security' on the left.
- Under Security, click the Block pop-ups toggle to turn it to "Off".
