Case 4 (ASN – two level packing – mixed)

The Header, Address and Material Positions sections are explained in Chapter above.

In this chapter, we explain the handling unit items, single pack positions and handling unit positions.

ASN Case4 01

This screen shot shows the structure of the shipping notification.

Several material position, handling unit, single pack and handling unit with the Handling Unit Positions can be included per shipping notification.

In the section Handling Unit Items, the Label Type G indicates the mixed pallet.

Single Pack Positions

Possible elements for Single pack positions are:

You may find the packing details for the material in the demand message or your packing instruction. If not, you can define the packing type in ‘Label Type’ in Single Pack. Each section Material Positions contains the section Single Pack.

  • You set ‘Label Type to ‘S’ for single packing, like KLT
  • You set ‘Label Type to ‘Z’ for auxiliary packing, like cover

Handling Unit Positions

Possible elements for Handling unit positions are:

You may find the packing details for the material in the demand message or your packing instruction. If not, you can define the packing details for each handling unit.

  • You enter in the ‘Customer Description’ e.g. Europallet or Lattice Box
ASN Case4 06

Now you have seen the structure and how an XML-file could look like. Create the XML export from your internal system based on the format description and your sample xml.

  Upload your internal created XML-file to SupplyOn WebEDI.
