Service-Specific Contacts

Service-Specific Contacts

Buyside companies can define for each service whether the notifications sent out for rollout, activation, escalation or retention events should be sent out to service-specific contacts, connect-specific contacts or both within their company.

Access ‘Service-specific Contacts’ and you will see a list of all services and a drop down menu for each service on the right:

ROC Guide Screen 9.5 - 09

Via the drop down menu you can define for each service whether the contact person for this service should be:

  • A Service-Specific Contact
  • A Connect-Specific Contact
  • Or both

What does service-specific and connect-specific mean?

A service-specific contact is a contact who will receive notifications for all events (registration, activation, escalation and retention) for this specific service, e.g. WebEDI. We will show you how to define the service specific contact in the next step.

A connect-specific contact is the buyside contact you named during the rollout phase for this service for this supplier.

To define the service specific contact, click on the service in the ‘Service-Specific Contact Overview’:

ROC Guide Screen 9.5 - 08

A separate menu will open:

ROC Guide Screen 9.5 - 07

Enter the contact data of your service-specific contact and confirm by clicking ‘Save’. You will receive a confirmation, that the contact has been created successfully:

ROC Guide Screen 9.5 - 06

The service-specific contact will then be shown in the overview:

ROC Guide Screen 9.5 - 05

Please note, that you can only set up one contact per service. After having entered the service contact and decided via the drop-down menu whether the emails should be sent out to the service-specific contact, the connect-specific contact or both, save your changes by clicking ‘Save’ at the bottom of the screen.

How do the ‘Notifications’ menu and the ‘Service-Specific Contacts’ menu interact?

The ‘Notifications’ menu (see   Notifications for more details) gives you, as individual user, the opportunity to decide which emails you would like to receive. So in case you are the Connect-Specific contact for a supplier and uncheck the box for retention emails for a service you will not receive notifications for this case, even if the setting in the ‘Service-Specific Contacts’ says otherwise, see example 1 below.

On the other hand, if you check the box to receive certain notification but you are not the service-specific contact for this service you will not receive notifications in case the settings are like in example 2.
