Why is the supplier comment editable for some PO and for others not?
The buyer defines if a supplier comment is allowed or not. This information is being sent within the original message of the PO. So, if the field is not editable in AirSupply, your customer did not allow this for that particular PO. Some customers do not allow a supplier comment at all (Airbus Helicopters e.g.)
The original message of a the PO (that is not available to the suppliers) contains the segment ‚Allow-collab-on-comment / POAllowCollabOnComment‘, which defines whether collaboration on the comment data field is enabled. If this field is set to false, the comment field will not be editable.
Please note that generally, it is not possible to enter a supplier comment if a PO is in Status RECEIVED.
